Some interior shots

For those of you who don't have Facebook, here are some of the interior shots of the new house. It needs a little work, especially the back yard, but I'm really excited to get started. I'll post some after shots as soon as we get everything situated. The bottom floor has an office/bedroom and a bath, as well as the kitchen/dining room/family room.

Upstairs has 5 bedrooms, a laundry room, a computer nook, and 2 bathrooms.

I still can't believe that this is where we'll be living a week from Saturday!

A long day

I made a trip up to the bay area yesterday to see if I could figure out where we are going to live in a couple of weeks. My parents tagged along to keep me company (and help with fuel costs).

This was the best place I found. It's a 6 bedroom 3 bath with a large backyard that comes with a play set. It has a massive kitchen! I applied for it and now I just hope that we get it.

Job offer at the beach

On Wednesday we took a trip to the tide pools at Leo Carrillo. As we were unloading the kids from the car, Kip got a call from the Chief who officially offered him the job in Newark. Kyra is excited about having a new house with a park (yard), and about the new baby. Jack has no idea what's about to happen.

We were happy to make it to the tide pools on such a lovely day, especially since it's raining hard at the moment.

Here are some of the things we found in the pools, including the creature we look for the hardest - baby octopus. It's been several years since we've found any octopus there.

Jack had a great time flinging mud in this little pool:

Kyra had a great time too, and was very brave when it came time to touch the crab and hold the octopus.

Baby #3 was happy, too. He likes Taco Bell.
